Employees who have direct contact with clients are required to have negative TB test results on file. Some positions require that the employee be trained in CPR and first aid. After the interviewing supervisor has reviewed the applicants’ resumes, she/he will determine if the applicant has the required experience and/or if her/his educational background meets the required qualifications. The interviewing supervisor will then contact those who meet the qualifications to arrange for interviews. In many cases, due to time constraints, an applicant who does not meet the qualifications for the position may not be contacted.
A. Job announcements remain on HSA’s website or on other job locator websites until a candidate who meets the qualifications is selected. The length of time for the job announcement to be posted may be as short as one (1) week, to as long as two to three (2-3) months, depending upon the amount of interest that there is in a job announcement. Typically, entry-level positions (e.g., Driver, Program Aide, etc.) will generate interest from a larger number of people than those positions that require substantial experience or positions that require a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
