Low-Income Fare is Easy Program

The Low-Income Fare is Easy program (LIFE) provides discounts to eligible Metro, Long Beach, Montebello, Norwalk, Foothill, Torrance, or LADOT transit riders towards the purchase of a weekly, monthly, or EZ pass or 20 Regional Rides. Human Services Association (HSA) assists clients in applying for the discount. See brochure for new changes (New Changes Brochure)

LIFE subsidy discounts are available to residents of the Gateway, San Gabriel Valley, and the Southeast Bay Region of Los Angeles County (Cities by Region); whose household income is below the following income guidelines or participate in a low income program. (LIFE Income Guidelines)

Free for LIFE patrons & good for any participating transit system

To apply please present Valid Photo ID (Proof of address if applicable), Valid TAP card (for each person applying), and proof of low income(Tax return, Check stubs, SSA/SSI award letter, Medi-Cal, EBT, Free or Reduced School Lunch, CARE or Lifeline)
