Human Services Association (HSA) Appoints New Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ricardo Mota, Effective July 1st, 2021

The Human Services Association (HSA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce it has named Ricardo Mota as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective July 1st 2021. Mr. Mota, a dynamic and proven nonprofit leader, brings over 27 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. He has a passion for creating positive change in our communities. He succeeds Leticia Chacon, who will retire on June 30th 2021.
Mr. Mota currently serves as Human Services Association’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As CFO, Mr. Mota refined HSA’s financial operations and strengthened its overall financial health. Mr. Mota’s skilled leadership of day-to-day operations has also helped ensure Human Services Association has continued to provide comprehensive services to clients in need throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Mota holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles; a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach; and is a Certified Public Accountant.
