Clara’s first interaction with HSA began after she noticed a sign for our “Pasitos” Early Childhood Education programs during her work commute. Intrigued by the name “Pasitos,” she began to learn more about our program and found it was a perfect fit for her needs. With an only child, Teresa, at home, Clara had been looking for a way to help her daughter socialize and learn age-appropriate lessons. After signing up for our Head Start program, Clara found that the program not only met but exceeded her expectations.

Teresa began her classes excitedly as she finally had other children her age to socialize with. Her high energy meant she fit right in with the other kids in our program who are eager to learn and play. In only a few short months, Clara saw a tremendous change in her daughter. She became more vocal, learned important social skills, and developed her vocabulary. “Sometimes we will be talking, and she shocks me with words that I had no idea she knew,” says Clara. “She has developed at her preschool so quickly.”

Clara’s favorite part of “Pasitos” is the meal program, as she feels relieved that her child receives a well-balanced meal that has been approved by nutritionists. “As a mother, it is a great relief and privilege to know Teresa is receiving such exceptional care,” she says. 

When asked what she would like to tell others about “Pasitos,” Clara says, “I would 100% recommend this program to others because I have seen the skill and professionalism of the staff. They are patient with the children, they provide specialized help, and my daughter always speaks so positively about them. I feel so fortunate I could find something local that is so high quality.”
