Family Services Testimonial: Martha and Kevin
Posted: January 8, 2025 | Client Stories
For Martha and Kevin, HSA’s Home Visitation services have proven an invaluable and treasured part of their parenting journey. As they have raised their son, Oscar, they have benefitted from the assistance and reassurance provided by their Parent Educator, Jacqueline. When asked about their initial impressions of the program, Martha and Kevin admit they were at first hesitant since the program involves a Parent Educator visiting their home. However, they quickly overcame their worries once they saw Jacqueline’s friendliness and professionalism, which put them at ease. Since then, they say they have been all in on the program and everything it offers.
“We have learned so much from this program, especially about how to discipline my son in a healthy way and how to have quality bonding time,” says Kevin. Martha mentions the program’s socialization events, where clients gather to have fun and meet each other, as a personal favorite part of the program. “I love the socialization events because we not only bond with our child and create great memories, but also learn from the other parents who attend. Our recent trip to Adventure City (a family theme park) was especially fun and memorable!”
In addition to offering parenting guidance, Jacqueline has also gone above and beyond to provide helpful items to Martha and Kevin, including a baby bed, a rug, and a baby car seat. “I don’t know where we would get help if it was not for this program,” says Martha. “Not only in terms of lessons, but also economically. Jacqueline has been so helpful and friendly, we recommend everyone who has a chance to join the program.”
As Martha and Kevin’s parenting journey continues, we look forward to being alongside them in the next year!
